USA Today's #AShotattheShot Feature

Many Down syndrome affiliates and advocates across the nation continue to fight for vaccination priority for the Down syndrome population. We are honored that USA TODAY has recognized the global impact made by the DSAJ and other Florida affiliates who waged the #AShotattheShot campaign to lobby state and health officials to grant COVID-19 vaccination priority to adults with Down syndrome.

Debbie Revels, our incredible executive director was interviewed by USA Today’s reporter Marc Ramirez last week.  Debbie walked Mark through the challenges faced by our local DS community and how much relief is now expressed by knowing our efforts made a difference.

The DSAJ continues to advocate both locally and nationally for our community.  We are so appreciative of our community once again for rising to the challenge and truly making a difference. Our grass roots campaign made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many…even having an impact nationally.
